VLM · Vertical carousel
Store at height what sits on your floor today with a VLM (an automated tower that stores in a minimal footprint and brings the tray to the operator): up to 90% less module footprint, without moving or expanding. Ergonomic picking — assembling orders with the goods at the operator's height, with no walking. ERP and MES integration.

Which technology do you need?
VLM — Vertical Lift Module
Smart extractor that retrieves any tray independently. Ideal when there is high SKU variety and the operator needs different products each cycle.
Pharma · Spare parts · E-commerce with many SKUs
Intelligent vertical carousel
System that circulates trays internally. More efficient for repetitive high-turnover SKUs where sequential access is adequate.
Manufacturing · Automotive · High-rotation distribution
Shared benefits
A 10 m-high VLM occupies a 3×3 m footprint (about 9 m² of floor) and stores the equivalent of 30–50 m² of conventional racking: the rest is floor space that gets freed up.

FAQ
The VLM is best when you have high SKU variety and need random access: each cycle you can retrieve any tray independently. The carousel is more efficient for high-turnover SKUs with sequential access. For pharma, spare parts and e-commerce with many different SKUs, the VLM is generally the best option.
Typically between 70% and 90% of the floor footprint compared with conventional shelving. A 10-meter-high VLM occupies a footprint of about 9 m² (3×3 m) and stores the equivalent of 30–50 m² of conventional shelving: those floor square meters are freed up for production, picking or growth.
Via standard RESTful APIs or the system's WMS interface. If you already have a third-party WMS (SAP EWM, Manhattan, etc.), the VLM can operate as a slave subsystem that receives extraction orders. If you don't have a WMS, the built-in management module manages warehouse inventory autonomously with ERP integration.
The vertical carousel operates between -5°C and +40°C, compatible with positive cold rooms. The VLM has versions for environments between 2°C and 25°C, ideal for pharma and refrigerated products. For negative cold (frozen storage), the specialized AS/RS-line stacker cranes are recommended.
