Technical description
The DELIE mother-child shuttle system circulates with a mother robot on the main track and several child robots on storage rails. The mother robot precisely transports the child robots to the destination aisles, where they perform storage and retrieval. One mother robot can serve several child robots, or each can operate independently for greater efficiency. Equipped with intelligent obstacle detection and multi-level switching via lifts, it guarantees safe, flexible operation.

What equipment does the mother-child system include?

What is the advantage of the mother-child system over the conventional shuttle?
The mother-child system eliminates the bottleneck of the centralized lift. While the mother robot repositions a child on another level, the other children keep operating. Throughput can be 2 to 3 times higher than an equivalent single-robot shuttle system.
