Combined AS/RS system: stacker crane for level change + shuttle robots in channel — maximum density

STOKA es el representante oficial exclusivo de DELIE en Argentina y Chile.
Technical description
DELIE Stacker Crane + Shuttle Robot racking is the ideal combination to maximize the use of the warehouse's vertical space. It adopts a high-bay design, able to replace the manual forklift to complete efficient storage at different levels, and in combination with shuttle robots, performs level-change operations with greater storage density and operational flexibility. Warehouse space utilization can be increased by 3 to 10 times versus conventional systems.
How it works
Multi-level storage
The stacker crane receives the pallet at the input station and takes it to the storage level indicated by the WCS. Once at the level, the shuttle robot takes the pallet and transports it to the most suitable free position within that level's channel.
Retrieval and level change
The shuttle robot retrieves the pallet from its position in the channel and brings it to the stacker crane. The stacker crane lowers the pallet to the dispatch level. The system can manage multiple simultaneous movements with different robots at different levels.
Maximizing vertical space
By raising storage to the upper levels, the floor is freed for other operations. The stacker crane + shuttle combination allows operating heights that are not viable with shuttle robots alone, multiplying storage capacity by up to 10 times vs. conventional racking.

DELIE technology in Argentina
The DELIE combined stacker crane + shuttle system eliminates the limitation of shuttle-only systems (robot operating height) and stacker-crane-only systems (throughput per aisle), achieving the best ratio of density, speed and investment cost for high-bay warehouses.
DELIE has more than 1,000 active installations in over 30 countries. STOKA is the exclusive representative in Argentina: engineering, installation and local technical support without depending on overseas factory lead times. Frequently asked questions
The combined system is ideal when great height (>20 m) is needed with high channel density and throughput flexibility. Stacker-crane-only is better for high-speed aisles with direct access to each cell. Shuttle-only is better for medium heights with many high-density channels. STOKA simulates the three scenarios for your operation.
Yes. Both the racking and the DELIE shuttle robots and stacker cranes have a cold version (-30 °C). The combination is especially popular in cold chain warehouses where storage density is critical to reduce the refrigerated volume.
Installing a combined system in a newly built warehouse takes between 8 and 14 weeks. For existing warehouses, the timeline depends on prior civil adaptation. STOKA coordinates the engineering, importation, assembly and complete commissioning.
Yes. The modular architecture allows adding robots per level without modifying the racking or the WCS. The robot fleet is scalable based on the throughput required at each stage of the operation's growth.
