Pallet Shuttle Racking

High-density AS/RS racking for pallet shuttle robots — 7 to 40 m

Pallet Shuttle Robot racking — high density for pallet shuttle robots
DELIE

STOKA es el representante oficial exclusivo de DELIE en Argentina y Chile.

Technical description

DELIE Pallet Shuttle racking uses a high-strength structural design with a high degree of standardization and excellent load capacity. It is applicable to different warehouse configurations and adapts flexibly to any available shape or height. Combined with 4-way pallet shuttle robots, the robots navigate freely within the racking, notably improving warehouse rotation efficiency. The steel comes from globally certified steel mills, with machining tolerances of ±0.1 mm and silane anti-corrosion treatment that guarantees resistance to rust and salt mist.

How it works

01

Automatic storage

The shuttle robot receives the pallet at the transfer station and navigates to the most suitable free position within the racking channel. The WCS assigns the optimal location based on the SKU rotation profile (FIFO or LIFO), maximizing aisle throughput.

02

Retrieval and dispatch

On a dispatch order, the robot retrieves the correct pallet regardless of its position in the channel without moving the others. FIFO mode guarantees stock rotation in food and pharma; LIFO mode optimizes low-rotation materials.

03

Operation in irregular layouts

The modular racking design adapts to floors with columns, level changes or variable heights. The 4-way model enables free movement on both axes of the level, eliminating the warehouse's geometric constraints and reducing civil adaptation costs.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between 2-way and 4-way racking?

2-way robot racking operates in a single longitudinal channel: the robot enters and exits from the same end. 4-way racking enables the robot to move on both axes of the level, allowing it to reach any position in the level without passing through other pallets. 4-way offers greater flexibility for irregular layouts or SKU mixes on the same level.

Does the racking operate in cold storage?

Yes. The silane treatment and high-strength steel maintain their structural properties from -30 °C to +40 °C. DELIE has installations in cold and freezer chambers operating 24/7 with more than 5 years of continuous uptime.

How long does installation take in an existing warehouse?

The mechanical installation of pallet shuttle racking takes between 4 and 8 weeks depending on the volume. If the slab requires prior civil adaptation, 2 to 4 additional weeks are added. STOKA coordinates all detailed engineering, assembly and certified commissioning in Argentina.

Can more levels or positions be added in the future?

Yes. The modular design allows expanding both the height and the length of the channels without dismantling the existing structure. Expansion is planned from the start so the original civil works account for future growth with no additional construction.
