Technical description
DELIE Miniload racking is suitable for storing small-format, light-load materials, able to be compatible with totes of different sizes and shapes. Compartment dimensions are customizable for automated storage and retrieval of containers. They support high-bay layouts from 7 to 25 meters with stacked storage, allowing more small containers to fit in the same footprint and reducing space costs.
How it works
Automatic container storage
The miniload stacker crane receives the tote at the input station, identifies it by barcode or RFID and deposits it in the cell assigned by the WCS. The system manages single and double depth, doubling density without increasing aisle width.
High-speed goods-to-person picking
The WMS generates the picking order and the WCS calculates the optimal route. The stacker crane retrieves the containers in sequence and delivers them at the workstation. The operator picks the required item without leaving the station.
High-frequency multi-SKU management
The system manages thousands of SKUs simultaneously with no loss of speed. Throughput can reach 400 containers/hour per aisle. Double depth doubles capacity without expanding the facility footprint.

What container size do Miniload racking systems support?
The system is configured for the operation's standard container. The typical range goes from 200×150×100 mm to 600×400×340 mm (standard Eurobox). DELIE can manufacture the dividers for any non-standard dimension within the miniload stacker crane's operating range.
What is the difference between double depth and single depth?
Single depth allows direct access to each container from the aisle. Double depth stores two containers in depth, doubling capacity per linear meter of aisle, but requires moving the front container to access the rear one. For strict FIFO operations, double depth with buffer management is recommended.
Can it be combined with a conveyor system at the picking station?
Yes. The miniload system integrates with roller or chain conveyors at the output station to queue containers before reaching the operator. STOKA designs the complete layout including the ergonomic picking station.
How many miniload aisles does my operation need?
It depends on the number of SKUs, order volume and peak throughput. As a reference: for 10,000 SKUs with 200 orders/hour, 2 to 3 miniload aisles are required. STOKA does the sizing with the operation's real data.
