Technical description
DELIE Mini-Flybox racking adopts a multi-layer, high-density structure with very close tote storage positions, specially designed for compact warehouses. Mini-Flybox (TMR) robots remove totes directly from the racking to perform "goods-to-person" operations, with the advantage of flexibility and scalability. The system is ideal for small-parts picking operations in e-commerce, pharma, electronics and auto parts where available space is limited and order-preparation speed is critical.
How it works
Compact multi-layer storage
Totes are stored in very close positions across multiple levels, maximizing locations within the available space. The TMR robot can reach any position at any level without moving neighboring totes.
Goods-to-person picking
The WCS assigns the order to the TMR robot. The robot retrieves the corresponding tote and brings it to the operator's workstation. The operator only picks and confirms; the robot returns the tote to its position. No picking travel.
Scalability without construction
The modular architecture allows adding racking and TMR robots as the business grows, without reconfiguring the existing installation. The WCS incorporates the new resources automatically.

What type of products is the Mini-Flybox system ideal for?
It is ideal for small and medium parts (up to 600×400×340 mm) with high order frequency: auto parts, boxed medicines, consumer electronics, cosmetics and high-rotation e-commerce products. It is not suitable for pallets or heavy loads.
How many TMR robots does my operation need?
The number of robots depends on the required throughput (orders/hour) and the number of storage positions. As a reference, 1 robot per 500 positions is a conservative sizing for e-commerce picking operations. STOKA simulates the throughput with the operation's real data.
How much space does it save vs. conventional racking?
The Mini-Flybox system eliminates the picking aisles between racking, which in a conventional warehouse account for 40-50% of the total area. In a 1,000 m² warehouse, the same storage capacity occupies between 300 and 400 m² with Mini-Flybox.
Can it integrate with my existing WMS?
Yes. The DELIE WCS integrates with any WMS via REST API, SOAP or flat file. STOKA handles the complete technical integration as part of the turnkey project. Certified integrations with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and Infor.
